I served in the United States Army for 12 years before an explosion and the injuries that followed ended my military career. I came home with life-changing injuries and the loss of part of my leg, but the pride I felt in serving never left me. Working with my hands gave me something steady to focus on again, and that’s what led me to start making these bags. What began with an Army-inspired bag grew into a collection honoring the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. I take my time with the quilting, embroidery, stitching, and finishing of each one. Because much of the work is done by hand, you may notice a loose thread or a small difference in the stitching. To me, those aren’t flaws—they’re proof that real hands took the time to make it. 🙏
